​What is it like to be a museum curator?  Heather’s talk will be a virtual tour of the Cincinnati Museum Center’s animal collections and will provide some insights into life at the museum which is housed in the historic Union Terminal train station. She'll even bring some specimens to see!

Diane Kendig, Local published poet


Diane will read and discuss her new book of poems, Prison Terms, inspired by her eighteen years as a teacher in prisons, as well as her previous book, The Places We Find Ourselves, with poems set on the coast of Massachusetts, the woods of Canada, and many sites in Ohio. Diane's books will also be on sale.

​Richard Haldi, Local historian and author


Richard will detail the rich history of the Canton Palace Theatre. What a fascinating story there is of the fight to preserve this historic landmark.The book, The Palace: Canton's Wonder Theatre, on sale at the Perk, contains photos of architectural details and includes a gorgeous full-color pull-out centerfold picture of the interior of the theatre.
